NABU handed a notice of suspicious to economic court judge

Lawyers of the NGO «AntAC» sent an appeal to NABU reporting the offence under the Article 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (false statements in e-declarations) allegedly committed by the economic court judge.

AntAC repeatedly applied to NABU requesting to check the declaration submitted by Iryna Popovych, judge of Kharkiv regional economic court. On May 30, NABU handed a notice of suspicious to Popovych, who failed to declare a 623 sq m country house. The land plot, where the house was built, appeared to be registered by the company AIA INTERNATIONAL GROUP INC. According to indicated information, it belongs to her husband.

Furthermore, during the investigation, NABU figured out that Popovych’s undeclared assets are worth of more than 3 million UAH. The detectives found out that the judge did not declared two apartments, a luxurious car, a car parking space, and a house worth over 1,2 million UAH.
