President Poroshenko awarded Kostyantyn Kulyk, a senior prosecutor from PGO with Order of Merit of III Level.
On 21 October 2016 Kyluk was officially indicted by NABU and SAPO for illicit enrichment. The trial is pending. Disregarding this he was not suspended from his duties as a prosecutor, quite to the contrary, he was promoted first as a chief prosecutor of Kurchenko case within the group of military prosecutors, and later as a deputy head of international cooperation department at the PGO.
AntAC submitted a claim to the PGO and NACP on potential conflict of interests of Kulyk. At the position within the PGO international cooperation department he might receive Mutual Legal Assistance requests directed to NABU by foreign law enforcement agencies. Being investigated by NABU Kulyk should not be in the position of dealing with documents related to their operations. The PGO replied they do not see any problem. NACP’s reply is still pending. |
