Outsourcing of Medicines procurement

In 2014, 1,2 billion USD was stolen from the Ukrainian budget due to inefficiency in medicine procurements. Because of the specifics of the pharmacological market, and the limited number of potential vendors, the introduction of e-procurements would not produce the desired result of greater procurement transparency and lower prices. The solution was to transfer medicine procurements to international organisations until 2022.
